Two of our Canadian organizers have recently been granted the FIDE title of “ International Organizer “ at the 82nd 2011 FIDE Congress, Krakow, Poland, held October 15-22: CFC Youth Coordinator and SWOCL CFC Governor, Patrick McDonald, and Alberta CFC Governor, Simon Ong. Dates: November 5-6, 2011; Place: Room 442 Guelph University Centre; Rds: 5 Sections: FIDE Rated Pro, FIDE Rated U2000, U1600; Type: Swiss; Prizes: $55 per Pro player returned as prizes. The CFC Regular Chess Post – Nov. 5/11 – Hamilton CC Championship. This was played each Friday starting September 16, and ended Nov. 4. It was held at the Hamilton Education Centre, 100 Main Street West, Hamilton in the lower auditorium. The winner was junior Razvan Preotu ( 2155 ) who scored 7/8 pts., only giving up 2 draws to the players finishing 2nd/3rd, who had 6/8 pts.. Bob Armstrong, CFC Public Relations Coordinator
