The CFC Regular Chess Post – February 7/13 – Quebec Junior Championship.

Starts TOMORROW !!

The tournament will be played in Montreal from February 8-10. The first prize is $1500! Players must have been living in Quebec for at least a year and be under 20.

The Quebec Junior Champion for the last few years has been GM Anton Kovalyov ( FIDE 2606 ) who has played for Argentina, but is now in the process of transferring his federation to Canada. He is a Ukrainian citizen, but a Canadian Permanent Resident. But he is not eligible this year... So the junior title is up for grabs!
