Montreal Chess Club Championship - Results

The Montreal Chess Club (CEM) is the biggest chess club in Quebec. Its members meet two times a week at the Strategy Games building on St-Denis St. (Wednesday and Friday) to play one standard game in a monthly rotation tournament. Contact for further information.

The Championship, a one-section 49 players five rounds standard tournament, held on June 16-17, crowned young master Olivier Kenta Chiku-Ratte after an armageddon tiebreak game. He played and the defeated defending champion, NM Alexandre Levkovsky. However, the most surprising performance remains Maxime Barko's (1766) stunning 4,5/5 (2300 perf. !). The complete results can be found here
